Riding around East Lake CC today to scope out routes for pedicab and to look for Tiger. Then its on to Oakhurst village for the 7pm 5mile run. Making a brick out of it.

Tuesdays -Dirty Mustasche - 830pm off road ride from flying biscuit on McClendon

                   Melton Ap & Tap / Bike south road rides at 630pm. Decatur area

Wednesdays - Oakhurst Running club 5 miler 7pm from One Step at a Time, Oakhurst village

Thursdays - CVS road ride 630pm from CVS/MelloMushroom, Decatur

Friday - Critical Mass last Fri of month/Courteous Mass 2nd Friday of month. 630pm 

               Woodruff Park DT ATL

Midnight ride 1159pm. Margret Mitchell square DT ATL (near GP bldg/library)

These have been my favorite rides so far  here. WEIRD will be adding more off road options, and there are some sweet hilly dirt roads west of town for a nice brevet (series??). Lets here from you...What are your fav's?

Clean up your plate!

Post rain storm trail cleanup of "Plate of Spaghetti" trail, and minor clearing in Mason Mill. This week after the heavy stuff clears. Call 920-371-2227 for times, or check back soon.

Officially a city rider

I completed my city initiation into the cycling community by competing in FM24, a 24 hour urban adventure. I did 20 laps in 23 hr 36 min. 12 mile course. I did the first three laps on my fixie/no brakes. Then my TRI bike until dark, when I rode my trike recumbent 4 laps. Finished stron on the TRI bike. There is such a huge market for these types of "underground" events. Exactly what WEIRD has been doing for the last 16 years, and with terrain to boot!! Look for some new WEIRD events coming soon. ATL has gotten pounded by rain the last week, and our in town trails will need some cleaning.
